Behind The Scenes:  Hyrule Needs a Hero, and That Hero is You!

We’re excited to announce Monopoly: The Legend of Zelda has arrived, and it can’t wait to be in your loving, warrior arms.
There’s nothing like combining one of our favorite video games with one of our favorite board games, and creating this game was a total blast. We hope it’s just as much fun for you to play as it was for us to make. So travel on our warrior friends, for below lie five behind the scenes features of The Legend of Zelda Monopoly.

Behind The Scenes With The Legend of Zelda Monopoly

Can you help Link own it all? To do so, you're going to need to know what you're up against!

1. The game board features custom art from multiple generations of The Legend of Zelda, which you can see via the progression of the board spaces. And let us tell you, Link looks just as good now as he did in the 90.’s

The classic 'Boardwalk’ and ‘Park Place’ are replaced by ‘Temple of Time’ and ‘Hyrule Castle"
& other board spaces reflect locations that have been in multiple Zelda games
2. There are six collectible sculpted tokens, and haven’t you always wanted to unlock the Hylian Shield to beat those pesky dragons?
Trifoce,  Hylian Shield, Bow, Slingshot, Hookshot, and Boomerang,
3. The classic Monopoly cash, money is converted into Rupees. In case you’re wondering about the conversion rate, they are worth more than American Dollars (ok, not really, but they’re worth more in our hearts).

"You got 50 Rupees. Joy!"

4. The ‘Chance’ and ‘Community Chest’ cards are replaced by ‘Empty Bottle’ and ‘Treasure Chest’ cards. Now if you get trapped by the Twili, you go straight to jail!
Looks like you're going to have to "Listen to Navi's Advice" to "Get out of Jail Free"
5. And last but not least, there’s a Mask Merchant trying to take your money.
They want our Rupees!
